I spent time in Rhue in February. My work is in response to the environment surrounding Rhue and in collaboration with Landscape painter James Hawkins.

« I start my creative process with a photographic print of a natural detail that I have observed, this I extend to construct new imagined places. I use the various textures seen in landscapes ; such as geological traces left by water, wind and salt on rocks, and I play with the anthropomorphic elements of nature. As our ancestors from prehistory were using the roughness of the walls to emphasize the shoulder of a bison, I build on the natural elements that I have photographed to develop my compositions. »
